Drypoint Etching with Pam Vaughan
Fun 2-day art workshop, 10am – 4pm: Sat & Sun 20 - 21 Oct 2018

Location: Wild Valley Art Park
This centuries-old acid-free technique has been used by artists such as Rembrandt, Picasso & William Kentridge. The course will cover designing your composition, incising, inking & printing your plate, using a press, & documenting your prints. The tuition will focus on the printmaking technique, however, drawing instruction will be offered if required. The prints will be initially made in black & white with the opportunity to explore colour later. Participants may use their own subject matter or respond to one provided.
Beginners and the more experienced welcome.
Price: $250 per person.
Includes tools & media for 6 images. For more than 6 images there will be an additional fee.
About the Artist
Pam has been a finalist in the Sulman & Dobell Prizes at the Art Gallery of NSW & won a national printmaking award. She has post graduate qualifications in teaching & studio practice. Her teaching experience includes having worked in the community, school & tertiary sectors, as well as collaborations with The Art Gallery of NSW, Taronga Zoo, The Australian Museum & the S.H. Irvin Gallery. She is currently a sessional lecturer at the National Art School.
