Mosaic is a contemporary art form with ancient roots and a rich cultural heritage. Mosaics can be functional or decorative works of art that are created by piecing together tiles, stones or crockery to create a design. From simple geometric patterns to intricate motifs, the design possibilities are endless.
In this course you will learn how to successfully cut and lay tiles and how to mix and make coloured grout. At the end of the course you can take home your own completed mosaic house number, trivet or wall hanging.
$260 or $240 if booked before 16 September

All materials for a ceramic tile mosaic and tools included.

Selena began her career studying at the National Art School in Sydney followed by a Bachelor of Art Education at COFA.
Her work is held in collections in Australia and overseas and she is a prominent mural artist. Selena has worked on many commissions and mural projects including a 75 square metre mural in Surry Hills commissioned by the Sydney City Council. She has also created works for Katoomba Neighbourhood centre, Portland Olympic Pool, Oberon Visitors Centre, Lawson Public School, All Saints College and Sculpture at Scenic World.
Selena has been creating paintings and mosaics and teaching adults for over 17 years. She is regularly invited to teach workshops state wide including workshops at Bathurst and Sturt at Mittagong. Selena's classes are informative and engaging and you are sure to be inspired by her expertise and creative approach.
